- Gapp Self-Service, free to download and use flavour for every GLPI instance
- Gapp White Label, the branded option for your company, is loaded with additional features that will skyrocket your technician’s productivity.
Let’s walk through what’s new on Gapp.

- GLPI 10.0.3 or higher
- Gapp Essentials 2.1.2 or higher (Gapp Xtended in case you use Gapp White Label)

Ticket Pending Reasons
The GLPI Ticket Pending Reasons feature, a highly anticipated addition in version 10, significantly improves ticket tracking and auto-solving capabilities, providing a superior experience in managing abandoned tickets. This feature brings a more structured approach to handling unresolved tickets, ensuring each ticket receives the necessary attention without techs’ interaction and streamlining the resolution process. It’s a step forward in ensuring that no ticket falls through the cracks by staying open forever while on pending status, thus enhancing user and technician experiences.”
PDF Viewer
No more hassles with clicks and downloads to access a PDF file. With the introduction of the new PDF Viewer in Gapp 2.5, users can now effortlessly explore PDF documents right within the application. This feature eradicates the need to exit Gapp or use a separate application to view PDFs, offering a seamless and integrated user experience. Whether it’s reviewing documents on the go or quickly accessing manuals, the PDF Viewer simplifies document handling, saving both time and effort. It’s about delivering a smoother, more streamlined process for accessing and interacting with PDF documents, enhancing productivity and user satisfaction.
Improved Task Status Behavior
With an improved behaviour for task statuses, managing and tracking tasks have become more intuitive and user-friendly. ‘To Do’ and ‘Done’ are the main statuses, and ‘informative’ is accessed by a long press. Also, a different colour will show an updated status.
Deleted tickets
This came as a personal request. When a ticket is merged, the source one is sent to the trashbin. You may have received notifications regarding this initial request, but when you check the ticket, you find no references. In a recent minor update to GLPI 10, a visual change was introduced to easily identify trashed tickets. We wanted to incorporate this feature as well.
Gapp White Label: A Premium Experience with Advanced Features
As you may be aware, Gapp White Label is a TICGAL initiative to provide branded apps for organisations. It’s worth noting that we offer a Gapp White Label Demo app, which showcases the features available. This demo app allows interested users to explore the functionalities before committing; for more information, click here.
All features available in Gapp Self-Service are also included in the White Label edition. Now, let’s delve into the new additions in this edition.
Formcreator Support
The major highlight of Gapp White Label is the support for Formcreator. This plugin, designed to ease user interactions and information gathering, represents a significant leap forward for Gapp. It heralds an evolution in user experience. Having all your forms at your fingertips enables you to request a new device, schedule vacations, or provision a new user from anywhere, at any time, in the most convenient manner.
However, there are a few minor limitations to note:
- No public forms support. We felt it didn’t make sense. They are meant to be used by non-GLPI users, so the browser is a better choice.
- No captcha support. Slightly related to the previous point.
- Not all dropdowns are available. Typically, GLPI Objects are not accessible to end-users via the API; addressing this limitation would require a substantial effort that, at this moment, we believe is not justified.
ActualTime Running Timers
IT Service Managers will surely enjoy the new ActualTime Running Timers view. Track your technician’s time, where they are working, on which asset they are working on… from your hand! Technicians shown are restricted to entities chosen, so no unknown technician from other areas will be shown on a perfectly structured GLPI.

New Tech Task View
An optimised view awaits technicians in Gapp 2.5, consolidating crucial features on a single screen. Kickstart or halt timers, access task information, delve into ticket conversations to grasp context from previous engagements and tackle relevant tasks. Moreover, pertinent information regarding the affected asset is readily available. Adding images and photos is now a breeze. This ultra-optimisation ensures a streamlined and efficient workflow, making task management a seamless experience.
Enhanced TAM Integration
Experience a smoother workflow with better TAM integration featuring:
- New Open Street Map integration
- Work Off-days Clock-in (while not ideal, sometimes it’s required
- Clock-off reasons.
Clock-off Reasons
Streamline your out-of-office workflow with the new Clock-off Reasons feature, ensuring clear communication and effective time management.
And that’s it
Gapp 2.5 embodies our most ambitious release, showcasing a significant leap in mobility solutions for tech professionals. Whether you’re in or out of the office, Gapp 2.5 is geared to provide a seamless tech experience.
Though these might go unnoticed, dozens of bugs have been squashed, and a bunch of minor enhancements have been woven in. Yet, the tireless efforts of our App Development Team, in close collaboration with the Web, Testing, and Support crews, are the behind-the-scenes magic making Gapp 2.5 operate smoothly.
