In our recent release of Gapp Self-Service, you may have noticed a failing feature – Formcreator forms were shown, but they didn’t work or worked inconsistently. We want to address this and clarify our commitment to you.
Regarding this freely accessible edition, we are devoted to a steady and clear commitment:
- Gapp Self-Service remains free now and always
- It won’t support any plugins. Just plain GLPI stable
Our ability to include features like forms depends on GLPI’s API capabilities. Until such a feature is added to the core and support is extended in the API, these features cannot be integrated into Gapp Self-Service.
Running a small company like ours has unique challenges, especially when managing big projects such as Gapp Self-Service and White Label. Our focus is on making these projects workable and continuously improving them. The key to keeping things moving? It’s simple: we use the advanced features of Gapp Xtended’s Custom Endpoint, along with the capabilities of our Gapp White Label application. This blend helps us stay on track with our goals and offers reliable, effective services.
Financial sustainability is crucial. Funding is essential to maintain and improve these services. This is where the role of our users becomes significant. Your continued use and support of our services help us cover these costs, ensuring we can provide quality solutions. We believe in transparency and want our users to understand the balance between providing high-quality services and the financial realities of sustaining them.
Today, Gapp Self-Service 2.6.1 will fix this issue by removing forms, fixing minor bugs, and updating the language strings.
On behalf of the TICGAL team, I extend my personal apologies. While I can’t promise we won’t mess up again, we’ll try to learn from our errors.
Whatever edition you choose, you can safely upgrade and enjoy the best GLPI Mobile Solution available.
