MISSION BRIEFING: Operation GLPI Baltic-Nordic Transverse

MISSION BRIEFING: Operation GLPI Baltic-Nordic Transverse

What a wild, intense, and absolutely incredible week. It might look like I went on a tourism holiday, but believe me, I absolutely wasn’t!

It honestly felt like a high-speed tactical operation: 7 days, 5 different ways to move (air, train, car, bus, crossing the Baltic Sea by ferry), and waking up in a different place almost every single morning.

To top it all off, the Baltic and Nordic weather made me feel right at home. It treated us to the classic Galician special: wild mood swings that went from beautiful, sunny skies reaching a surprising 27°C peak in Rīga down to crisp, breezy 10°C morning chills and sudden showers in Helsinki. It definitely forced me to master the art of traveling light while prepared for anything.

The mission? Laying the groundwork to expand our GLPI developed by Teclib’ operations into the Baltic and Nordic regions, connecting directly with local ecosystems across 6 distinct cities: Kaunas, Vilnius, Rīga, Tallinn, Helsinki, and Espoo—plus a digital link with Klaipėda.

If you take a quick look at our route’s waypoints, you’ll see I’m not exaggerating. In fact, this level of precision is exactly what you get with our Gapp White Label and Waypoint field service features—impeccable logistics to optimise every single minute on the move.

Coordinates locked, 14 meetings done! I could zoom in, but then you’d know too much and it might get dangerous for you…;)

As if the schedule wasn’t thrilling enough, I had an absolute “small world” moment during the trip. By pure chance, I ran into Alexei Vladishev, Founder and CEO at Zabbix! We caught up briefly talking about the very first Zabbix training in Spain. We remembered about how Luciano Álves, now CEO LatAm at Zabbix, traveled all the way from Porto Alegre (Brazil) to train the first-ever batch of Spanish Zabbix certified techs. Good old days!

Executing a heavy logistical deployment like this requires elite support. This mission was made possible thanks to the invaluable help of BN8 Baltic & Nordic Market Entry and the Cámara de Comercio de Pontevedra, Vigo e Vilagarcía de Arousa, alongside IGAPE, funded partly by FOEXGA and co-financed by the EU.

A massive thank you to everyone who took the time to meet with us. We were genuinely blown away by how brilliant, welcoming, and incredibly helpful you all were. Some of you will hear from me again soon ;).

And honestly? It was shocking to see how many people already knew all about Galicia! In fact, the connections were so strong that TICGAL might actually be hosting a few return visits here this summer.

Mission debrief by country:

  • 🇱🇹 Lietuva (Lithuania) – Labas! Ačiū!
  • 🇱🇻 Latvija (Latvia) – Sveiki! Paldies!
  • 🇪🇪 Eesti (Estonia) – Tere! Aitäh!
  • 🇫🇮 Suomi (Finland) – Moi! Kiitos!

Time to catch my breath, process all the leads, and get to work. Some of you will hear from me again soon 😉

The future of GLPI in the North is looking quite bright!
