Has it been a year since Paris GLPI Partners Day? It seems cliché, but time seems to fly faster as I age.
Last Friday, we spent an intense and long afternoon (that almost blended into the dawn) alongside GLPI partners from all over the world, gathered around the tool we’ve been implementing for so long: GLPI.
Teclib once again invited us to attend the most essential GLPI event of the year. Fittingly, since we were in Rome, we participated in the gathering at the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel. Christian, our Channel Manager, greeted us in an impressive vaulted basement. Through the glass floor, we could see the history of the Eternal City beneath our feet (please check the first gallery photo). We were pleasantly surprised while talking to partners who met virtually and physically last year.
Shortly after, the formal event began, and we got to hear the strategic vision presented by Pascal, the commercial proposition by Loïc, the project’s new corporate image and website, and the highlight: GLPI 11′s latest features introduced by Alexandre and Arthur.
I don’t think revealing the new functionalities is appropriate, but I can tell you they represent significant improvements in practically every area.
At the conclusion, we had the chance to join an engaging Q&A session, and honestly, I’m sure Teclib noted our feedback.
After our version of Il Inferno, we ascended to Il Paradiso: at the Rooftop Restaurant with an incredible night view, a cocktail by the pool, and finally, dinner time. I got caught up in conversation and forgot to grab a seat, and as Gladiators: audentes Fortuna iuvat (Fortune favours the bold). I had the honour of dining with the Croatian partners from King ICT, Vedran a Domadoj, a new Brazilian partner, Silvio from Voxdata, and last but not least, Arthur and GLPI’s Product Owner Alexandre Delauney! Like a dream come true. Yep, I’m that much of a nerd.
I also had the chance to spend time with Carlos and Ricardo from Imagunet, who came from Colombia and kindly invited me to participate in the Meetup they’re organising in a few days. Also, Hatomi (Poland), ITSM Factory (France), Allnix (USA and India), IT Green (Peru), Abast (Spain), Würth Phoenix and Initiativa, who, this time, were on home turf.
Apologies if my memory fails. Both age and Prosecco played their part. It’s just as well it happened that way—when in Rome, do as the Romans do. We, too, take the proverb quite literally.
If you’ve made it this far, you already know how to reach me. I look forward to helping GLPI and its community grow even more.
Oops, I forgot to mention the meeting from the day before! That’s a story for another time…
