A few days before the recent GLPI Partners Meeting in Rome, Gabriela from Imagunet approached me about this year’s GLPI MeetUp. I have to confess, I was pleasantly surprised—especially since I nearly doubled my time slot last year, and I was worried they might not invite me back!
Once formally invited, the second challenge was choosing a topic. After discarding my initial idea of talking about UXÍA, and since Gapp was last year’s topic, I’ve picked another approach: Security. Our ISO 27001 Information security management systems implementation process has hit hard all over TICGAL, so it’s an opportunity to see some small developments that might help.
The event was set for November 7th, and while our presentation might not have been the highlight, it’s still available for viewing, just in case you’re interested.
In this online gathering hosted by Imagunet, we explored the remarkable functionalities of GLPI, a pivotal instrument for managing assets and resources. We learnt how GLPI can enhance your management workflows and listened to inspiring success stories that will undoubtedly motivate you.
- OTS – Integration with One-Time Secret, a secure password-sharing service
- MFA – Additional Authentication Factor for your GLPI local and domain users
- More Security – GLPI security improvements (Brute-Force protection)
- Passwords – An integrated password manager for GLPI
- Bitdefender – Our initial approach for a Bitdefender’s GravityZone EDR integration
Here’s the presentation for you. Please don’t be concerned about its length; it looks long primarily due to bullet points and animations that create new pages.
Thankfully, Imagunet shared the recording, and here it is. My presentation (in Spanish) starts around 5′.
I want to acknowledge the Imagunet team for their expert event handling. A special mention goes to Gabriela, Johan, Ricardo, Carlos and their colleagues . Big thanks for your work in spreading the word about GLPI!
And that’s it! I hope you learned something new. If our advice and developments make your organisation even 1% more secure, I’ll consider that more rewarding than anything.
See you next year (hopefully ;))
